Synopsis
36½ Floors: School for Robbers
Synopsis
This is a story about how even the best-laid evil plans can be exposed in the most accidental and unexpected ways.
On the seashore stands a hotel belonging to the Dodger empire. Like the other Dodger skyscrapers, it has 36 floors—but somehow, it also has a mysterious half-floor. Everyone knows it exists, yet no one has ever been there.
The secret half-floor is home to a school for robbers run by Charlie, Grandma’s former secretary. And if anyone can uncover what is really going on there, it’s Willy Adams—super-courier and superspy.
Having finally become convinced of her superspy’s honesty and loyalty, Grandma trusts Willy with something truly precious: her diamond necklace.
Willy’s arrival at the hotel immediately unsettles its laid-back, comfort-loving staff. He starts teaching the local Delivery Guy how to make deliveries, the restaurant waiter how to move between tables, the baker how to bake, and even the cleaner how to clean.
Realizing that this annoying new “inspector” is a serious threat to their peaceful lives, the hotel employees come up with a plan to get rid of him: frame Willy for stealing the guests’ suitcases.
To clear his name, Willy launches his own investigation into “the case of the missing suitcases.” The trail eventually leads him to the mysterious half-floor—and to his old enemy, Grandpa Charlie.
But Charlie is no longer alone. His gang now includes plenty of familiar faces: the hulking criminals, the strange Hugh, the girl from reception, and even the mysterious Woman in a Red Dress—Grandma’s supposedly loyal agent.
Before Willy can take down Charlie’s gang, however, he has a more immediate problem.
He has to find his own missing suitcase — the one containing Grandma’s diamond necklace.
