Synopsis

The people of Yablunivka are heading into the forest once again to dig for the treasure.

And this time, Penko is leading the expedition. Penko has a motto:

“First one there wins!”

His logic is simple. If he is the first to enter the forest, he will be the first to start digging. If he starts digging first, he will be the first to find the treasure. And according to Penko’s understanding of the law, that means the entire treasure will belong to him.

At the Yablunivka sign, Penko suddenly orders everyone to stop for an important ritual. He raises his voice and chants: “Yablu-yablu-niu-niu! Kaaa!”

Everyone stares at him. What does the ritual mean? Penko has no idea.

The people of Yablunivka decide they need a scientific explanation and turn to their scientist and rescuer, Uncle Mykhailo.

There is just one problem. Uncle Mykhailo isn’t there.

Meanwhile, the Rescuer is wandering among the pyramids.

He eventually finds himself in the ruins of the very pyramid where the Baron once appeared. There, he comes across the treasure everyone has been searching for.

He barely pays attention to it.

Instead, he scientifically examines the ruins and heads home.

Back in Yablunivka, something much more alarming is happening.

A comet appears in the sky.

And it is getting closer.

In the forest, the local animals and their new African friends have finally learned to live together. Now they are united and ready to defend their home against the relentless treasure hunters.

But the humans are no longer the only visitors coming to the forest.

Aliens arrive from the constellation of the Three Elephants—the very aliens the Wolf recently summoned by accident.

And they are looking for the treasure too.

The aliens collect gold because they believe it will make their star shine brighter.

Just then, Uncle Mykhailo appears. “That has nothing to do with gold!”

And naturally, he begins to explain why. Scientifically.

In fact, Uncle Mykhailo has an even bigger problem with the visitors:

interstellar travel is impossible.

A heated argument breaks out between the scientist and the aliens.

Uncle Mykhailo patiently proves to them that humanity has not yet invented an engine capable of traveling through space the way they claim to have done.

Therefore, according to science, they cannot possibly be standing in front of him.

The aliens strongly disagree.

After all, they have just traveled there from another star.

Eventually, the Rescuer remembers his own incredible journey through the pyramids of the world—and is forced to admit that perhaps the aliens have a point.

Humans and animals make peace. The scientist and the aliens make peace too.

Then it begins to rain.

The people hurry home. The animals disappear into their burrows and nests.

Someone calls out to Penko. He should hurry. He could get lost.

After all, he is the last person left in the forest.

No one has found the treasure.

But everyone has found something worth even more: friendship.

Far away, in the ruins of the pyramid, the treasure is still lying where it was found.

The Men in Black sit beside it with a tribal chief. They are pleased: their mission is complete, and the treasure has finally been returned.

The chief, however, is far more concerned about the lack of water.

Suddenly, drums begin to beat. The tribespeople chant: “Yablu-yablu-niu-niu! Kaaa!”

And then... rain begins to fall.

A dark figure slips into the ruins to take shelter from the storm.

The stranger notices the treasure. Picks it up. And walks away with it into the darkness. A voice says:

“The rules have changed. Last one there wins!”

The figure steps away.

It is... Penko.
