Description
Synopsis
Mr. Cooper Calling!
Synopsis
Mr. Cooper is a talented repairman and inventor. Using broken appliances brought in by his customers, he dreams of creating a multi-robot that can do every household chore. And although his own robots, Yura and Shura, help him in the laboratory, Mr. Cooper still never has enough time.
One customer is particularly persistent—an elderly lady whose appliances always seem to be breaking down.
What Mr. Cooper desperately needs is a telephone. But not just any telephone: one he can use from anywhere, small enough to fit in his pocket. Mr. Cooper believes his invention could become an indispensable helper in the future.
For now, he occasionally borrows the telephone of his neighbor, who owns a café. Unfortunately, the café owner has problems of his own: his buns are always burning, coffee spills everywhere from his hand-cranked mechanical coffee grinder, and as a result, he has almost no customers.
While Mr. Cooper keeps running from floor to floor to use the telephone, Yura and Shura make full use of the artificial intelligence their inventor gave them and come up with a strange new invention: they attach a telephone to a vacuum cleaner.
Unfortunately, it is still far too big.
Meanwhile, the Mechanic arrives in town—a little man convinced that the future belongs to mechanical devices. With the help of his mechanical robots and an unlucky police officer, the Mechanic plans to arrest Mr. Cooper and destroy his laboratory.
After several failed attempts, the Mechanic decides it is time to get serious: kidnap the President, take his place, deal with the troublesome inventor, and impose a new mechanical order.
The President’s bodyguard and an FBI agent set out to find the missing President—and Mr. Cooper immediately becomes their prime suspect.
The police officer eventually discovers the Mechanic’s lies and joins the rescue team, regretting that he ever served the dark forces of the mechanical past.
The final battle takes place at the junkyard controlled by the Mechanic.
Mechanical zombies surround the team trying to rescue the President. But help comes from Mr. Cooper’s latest invention: the pocket telephone.
It may never have been properly tested...
but it works.
One phone call brings the head of the FBI to the rescue.
And she turns out to be none other than the persistent elderly lady whose broken appliances have been driving Mr. Cooper crazy.
She makes short work of the mechanical zombies.
The Mechanic is captured and sent to prison, while humanity receives a brighter future—and a strange new device that will soon become impossible to live without:
the pocket telephone.
The café owner gets his reward as well.
Mr. Cooper gives him the multi-robot he always dreamed of building. It kneads the dough, bakes the buns perfectly, brews aromatic coffee—and even serves it to the customers.
And for the first time, the café begins to fill with people.
