“Almost-a-Superspy” Willy Adams uncovers a plot by Grandma’s secretary, Charlie, to take control of the entire skyscraper empire. But after Willy’s repeated failures, Grandma no longer trusts him. Forced to work in secret, Willy sets out to save the empire—only to discover that first, he has to save a hamster.

Synopsis

For Grandma Dodger’s secretary Charlie, the big day has finally arrived. This morning, he is about to officially become master of the empire—and incredibly rich. He has proposed to Grandma, and now he is waiting for the wedding ceremony. Grandma has agreed because she has known Charlie for years and believes he is wealthy too.

But first, Grandma has to fire her superspy, Willy Adams, before another one of his mistakes ruins the wedding.

When the Dodger grandsons hear about the marriage, they decide to rob Grandma’s vault before their inheritance ends up in Charlie’s hands. At the same time, the hulking criminals set off for the vault for yet another robbery of their own.

Following her old-fashioned rules of professional etiquette, Grandma decides that before firing Willy, she should first send him on vacation. Willy is summoned to her office—but he arrives with a mission of his own: expose Charlie and tell Grandma the truth about her dishonest secretary.

Grandma doesn’t believe him.

During a conversation that makes less and less sense to Willy, the superspy grows bored and starts playing with Grandma’s hamster. He accidentally lets it out of its cage—and the hamster disappears.

Willy came to expose Charlie. Now he has to find Grandma’s beloved pet first.

Grandma informs Charlie that there will be no wedding without the hamster, so Charlie and his agents from the secret spy school join the hunt.

Charlie runs into a police officer wandering through the skyscraper after an alarm was triggered in the basement vault. Convinced that the hamster must have made its way downstairs, Charlie rushes to the basement.

But when he fails to find it there, Charlie gets a better idea: forget the wedding. He’ll open the vault, steal all the money, and disappear into a very comfortable retirement.

Willy arrives at the vault as well, and the final showdown between him and Charlie begins. Willy wins, finds and catches the hamster—and suddenly realizes that he is standing in the middle of a completely empty vault.

Charlie immediately accuses Willy of robbing it and orders the police officer to arrest him. Then the Dodger brothers come flying in through the ventilation system—only to stare in disbelief at the empty vault.

At that very moment, Grandma walks into the basement and calmly explains that nobody has robbed her.

The vault is empty because it isn’t a money vault at all.

It is where Grandma was supposed to keep all the birthday presents from her grandsons—presents she has never received once in her entire ninety years.

In the end, Willy finally exposes Charlie. He tears the wedding flower from Charlie’s jacket, revealing the hole it had been hiding in Charlie’s one and only suit—and proving just how poor the would-be groom really is.

The police officer immediately arrests Charlie for his fraudulent attempt to steal someone else’s heart. But Charlie uses an invisibility cap to vanish, ready to return another day...

Willy finally heads off on vacation, with no idea what will be waiting for him when he gets back.

But just as he is about to dive into the sea, he hears Grandma’s voice ordering him to begin his next spy mission immediately.
